I was emailed by an individual wanting to pay me for data analytics service that I run to help companies get better results. This individual said that he could pay me in crypto given that the clients actual local currency is actually going through hyperinflation so I agreed. Payment comes due and I am very cautious about receiving funds through digital currency because of the risk of putting my wallet and accounts at risk of being contaminated by dirty funds. I asked him for his wallet address so that I can "notify my exchange" of the incoming payment and provide them with the supporting documentation so that they are at ease when it comes to KYC.

I always run wallets through this wallet screener I found that has helped me before avoid interactions with dirty wallets and lo' and behold, the wallet has ties and has received funds before from an OFAC Sanctioned wallet. Imagine I had received funds from that thing.
